It may be useful to include some planned expenditure but not yet settled: an unpaid transaction will allow you to have the future forecast of your income / expenses, as well as a reminder.
For example, you can enter all your phone bills for this year, setting the "unpaid" those still not completed. This way, you'll see a reminder in the Home page when the bill due date is close. In addition in Forecast Report you can analyze spending between now and the end of this year.
